The original head to head fighting game, Street Fighter II was one of the first big scores for the Super NES in the 16-Bit era. The game was nearly arcade perfect and silenced critics who claimed that the SNES did not have enough processing power to do it. The game was eventually superseded by upgrades Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Street Fighter II, but the original was one of the biggest selling games for the system.
