This game seems like it should be on an 8 bit system. Although the graphics are ok, the sound and control seem total 8 bit. The way the character jumps, and the sometimes lacking in response when you press the jump button just doesn't feel right. Another thing reminicent of the 8 bit era are the pits that you can't escape out of, even if you don't die. And another problem was this part that you had to jump just perfectly to get to the next section, and since jumping is so erratic, it is bloody frustrating. The levels were kind of like mazes, but in the first few levels I played, they weren't too difficult to figure out. Later in the game, there was a spaceship level which was like the underwater level in Earthworm Jim, but not as good. The robot character you play with seems quite lame. They tried to make some funny captions for him, but they flopped. Not a very good game, as far as I could tell.

-----

B.O.B. is just like any ordinary teenage robot: he crashed his car on his way to a date, and armed with an arsenal of weapons, must fight across an entire planet of bug creatures, perilous traps, and wacky bosses in order to reach his girlfriend. This cartoony platformer is at times arduous and a tad bit boring, but kind of endearing in a funny way. The weapon and tool systems are quite fun, but the continuous stretch of levels is likely to wear down most players. A relatively-fun animated game for its time. - J.D. Smith
