Lufia II is a turn based RPG with some puzzle elements thrown in. The battle system is pretty typical RPG flare, with the exception of the morphing monster buddy that attacks randomly. If fed the right items, it will evolve. The dungeon map shows all the enemies, which allow you to take action against them before fighting. Probably the most notorious feature of the game is the 99 Level cave, which is a randomly generated dungeon.
