NBA Hangtime is the third iteration of NBA Jam (although Acclaim retained rights to the name NBA Jam). In this version, there are updated rosters and the addition of Toronto and Vancouver teams. The best new feature, though, is the create-a-player mode. You can customize the look and abilities of your own player, and your statistics will be saved.
