This dream matchup of Nintendo characters with Square's RPG expertise led to this exceptional game. Rather than just putting Mario in a typical turn based RPG, they added the ability to increase damage by pressing a button at the appropriate time during an attack. Secrets abound in this game, which makes an otherwise short game have a lot of replay value.
