Originally called Area 88 in Japan, U.N. Squadron is an excellent from-the-side shooter. You have the option of 3 different pilots, each with their own strengths. Unlike some shooters, getting hit does not mean instant death, and if you can avoid getting hit a second time, you will survive the fight. Features in this game include several different planes, multiple special weapons, and an experience system.
