Seven seven SEVEN!

Ultraseven is probably the most popular of the Ultramen, space aliens that can grow to great sizes to fight off giant monsters. Even though the series Ultra Seven came out in the sixties, its enduring popularity meant that it made sense to make a video game based on the show in the 90s. This game is basically a direct sequel to Ultraman, which was pretty much a launch title for the SNES. By the time this came out in 1993, the mechanics were pretty dated next to something like Street Fighter II. The monsters don't even have jump animations!

Anyways, this prototype is essentially final, but this Mortal Kombat-style decapitation of Eleking has had all the blood removed in the final version. This game is pretty terrible, so I didn't delve into the details that much.
