Super Star Wars is a very polarizing game. Many people praise it for its music and graphics, and some like the gameplay. However, I think it is very dated, and the fact that avoiding hits is pretty much impossible (and the game is designed to account for this with every enemy dropping health) means that it isn't very deep. Still, one of the better early non-Japanese developed titles. A neat trick to Super Star Wars is that if you have the Super Scope plugged in, the build date quickly shows up on the startup screen.
As you can see, the prototype build is three weeks before the final version. I feel sorry for the poor developer who was up at 12:30 am making the build! Since this build is close to the final version, there are only minor differences. I played the first couple of levels side by side, and didn't notice anything substantially different aside from the time counter. The prototype build gives you more time in the Dune Sea and Jawa Sandcrawler levels. I do think there are minor differences in how and where the enemies appear, but this is hard to really qualify.
