Sim City

Sim City (if you didn’t already know) is a game where you are the mayor of your very own city where you get to make decisions on how taxes are and where houses and commercial zones will be located. The game was made in 1991, so the graphics are well made for the time period. You can watch your residential areas grow into apartment buildings and your commercial areas grow into skyscrapers. Sound is ok on this game not anything to rave about, the sound changes from season to season and that’s about all. Gameplay modes include practice, where you can go to learn the basic aspects of the game, and there’s a new game mode where you have to build your town without step by step instructions. This mode includes 999 different map types so you should easily find the type of landscape you want to build your metropolis on. Also included is a scenario mode where you must take control of major cities and try to get rid of the problems that plague the city over a certain amount of time. Controls in this game are more like a computer game, you have a hand that you move to the area you want to get to and click on what you want to use. No major complaints about this game except that you may want to put up the speed a bit so you can move the game faster.
