This game had different endorsements between the German and English versions. The German version was endorsed by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, a prominent German soccer player in the 1980s. The English version was endorsed by Kevin Keegan, who was a superstar in the 1970s and 1980s, and also a prominent manager in the early 90s, appropriate given the simulation gameplay.
