SuperFX

A RISC (reduced instruction set computer) coprocessor designed by Argonaut to allow the SNES to display polygon based graphics. Until the release of the Playstation 1, this was the biggest selling RISC processor in the world. Originally developed for Star Fox, it ended up also being used in Yoshi's Island to aid with transformation of sprites.
