The SNESdev Game Jam happened between June 5 and September 10, 2021, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Super NES. The goal was to create a SNES game from scratch in just three months using publicly available resources. The rule was that it had to be playable on real hardware! In the end, there were four entries. Super Rambler is a single level time attack game, where you hop over a number of platforms to reach the goal as quickly as possible. Obviously, you can't really directly compare an entry by someone who is just trying SNES development for the first time to a veteran like Goldlocke. Considering the difficulty of developing for the SNES, it is impressive to come out with something that is a playable game in three months! Congrats to torte00 for fulfilling his dream of making a SNES game.
