This game originally came out for Nes under the same name and was transported over to the Snes in 1993. The main goal of this game is to take you choice of a football team and take them through the season and playoffs to win the superbowl. The graphics in this game stay true to its predecessors, Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Superbowl. There are added graphics when you score a touchdown, field goal, or sack. The graphics also took a more realistic look in this game. Also new to this game, you may now pick to play in rain or snow, which is very realistically illustrated. The sound in this game isn't that great though, the players voices sound very grainy and the music that comes on during a play doesn't seem to match in with the game atmosphere. Gameplay modes include a 1 player mode, a 2 player mode, and a coaching mode where you choose the plays and your players execute them. One additional thing that I didn't like in this game was that there are only 8 plays to choose from. I think the reason for that though is that the game tries to take an arcade approach to football. If you are looking for a good arcade football game then this is probably a good game to buy, but if you like a more realistic approach, I would definitely recommend going with Madden NFL game series. - E Houser Cartridge label information
