Early working title of this game was World Wide Soccer (shown at the 1993 summer CES), but later added Tony Meola as the licensed soccer player.  It uses the same sports gameplay engine as NCAA Basketball and NHL Stanley Cup.<br><br>
A Spanish and Portuguese version was published by American Softworks as Super Copa.
