Like many Arcade ports in the early 90’s, this game suffered a great deal on its voyage to the home-console. Designers appear to have tried very hard to retain the original’s state-of-the-art graphics, but ultimately fell short. There are also some serious accuracy issues with the cross-hair, which become especially apparent when shooting around human civilians, as well as a considerable slow-down compared to the arcade version. Above all else, the most damning flaw in this rail-gunner is the slow-cursor speed: without one of the SNES peripherals, this game is beyond difficult. On the plus side, the game does feature a 2 player cooperative mode so you and a buddy (sharing one T-800, I’m assuming) can take down Skynet together. - J.D. Smith
