Evan G screen01.png This prototype of Yoshi's Island was discovered by van_halen, who purchased it from a former Nintendo employee. Thanks to van_halen for the information and pictures. snes_central@yahoo.ca July 18, 2012 1|I found the picture of this prototype on d4s' SNES filedump. After doing some sleuthing, I found a thread on Digital Press by van_halen, who purchased this prototype off of a former Nintendo employee. Despite the fact that it has "SNS-P" written on the chips, it has an NTSC prototype. van_halen dumped this game, and says it is identical to the US commercial release. 14|prototype1/yoshis_island_prototype1.jpg|front of the board| 14|prototype1/yoshis_island_prototype2.jpg|back of the board| 14|prototype1/yoshis_island_prototype3.jpg|Closeup of the DIP switches, and the board's serial code (SHVC-4RB3B7S-RE-01)| 14|prototype1/yoshis_island_prototype4.jpg|This board uses a GSU-2 Super FX Chip| 14|prototype1/yoshis_island_prototype5.jpg|Closeup of the lockout chip (F411B)| 19|prototype1/bib.txt|
