Drakkhen is one of those rare games that seem tedious and hard to get into at first, but after some persistence a whole new side to the game is shown. The game takes a sort of 3D viewpoint. The combat is turn based, and monsters are randomly generated by walking across a certain area unkown to you. The character generation system is dice-roll aka AD&D games. You press a button and a set of stats are randomly generated by the computer. These include the standard RPG fare: health, wisdom, magic, vitality, stength and so on. Selecting a varied team is important, and their stats will raise as they fight monsters and gain experience points. You may choose a team of upto four characters. You will traverse forests, oceans, caverns and fields on your quest. You will need to obtain money by defeating monsters, which you can use to buy provisions such as food and weapons which you can find in any of the many shops that you will come across on your journey. All in all, if you're into adventures or role playing games at all, you'll probably come to enjoy this game as I do. - MD Pontiac
