With its smooth gameplay and superior soundtrack, Cybernator is easily one of the best run and gun titles available for the SNES. Play as Jake, a soldier commanding an assault-suit, in his fight against the Axis, an evil government competing with Earth over control of resources in space. The gameplay is very similar to Metal Warriors, but only features one type of assault-suit, though players are equipped with several different weapons and can find upgrades hidden throughout the game. Each level contains a good amount of variety as far as difficulty and gameplay go, and the bosses are fairly interesting as well.
